So I did a search first and the word digibird didn't even come up once...

I was thinking about getting a digibird to .....ok fine a digibird to dick with my gcc. Something to have him dismember or play with....either or.

I watched a few youtube things, and the real birds seem puzzeled and curious, I thought it might be of interest to him, has anyone with a conure added a digibird to see what would happen?
:gcc:

I went ahead and placed the order, should be here tomorrow, I'll let you know what he thinks...

We purchased a digibird for our little green cheek to play with and she attacks it like crazy whenever we take it out. I think she see's it as competition for our attention... maybe good confirmation that our little one would prefer to be an only bird. It's fun to watch for limited periods, but I would not recommend leaving it out on her... kinda like a mirror which would drive her nuts over time.

Maybe cute for me to look at, but at $45 CAD, it's a no go for a bird toy for us. Sheesh. Seems cute though.

I have the feeling that Echo would totally go crazy over a digibird and attack it.

Oh I expect an attack, I have this little plush stuffed animal keychain thing about half his size I bought at a walmart splurge aisle right before the register, technically it's an owl but its green (for some reason) and looks basically like a generic bird. I sometimes walk it up my arm and sit it on my shoulder.....at which point he picks it up by the ear and tosses it off onto the floor. I don't know if this is how he'd treat another bird but I do know I want to video him on the floor with a digibird moving around.

did you read the post or did I mistype something? I own a conure.....I'm introducing a digibird to see his reaction.

Definitely funny but I get a weird feeling about purposefully upsetting a pet just for a laugh

it's much smaller than him also I have amazon prime but it doesn't arrive till tuesday I'm still waiting for it.

And I don't see it setting him up for a laugh if he likes it fine if he runs away I'll see if he will acclimate to it the throw it away if he doesn't. He still plays with the owl thing just like the wireframe ball or his abacus etc.

true I mean more if he decides he doesn't like it. if he plays with it and appears to enjoy attacking it then let him have his punch up!

Might be a good anger redirection device (read punching bag) for that special hormone time

HE LIKES IT! I mean he doesn't love it, but he didn't attack it and he's not afraid of it, and will touch it. He likes it at least as well as any new toy in the first few minutes.

I hope he plays with it by himself often.

Success! Just make sure he doesn't decide it's an appropriate baby-maker haha

The first video I saw of one was of an alexandrine who hated it, puffing up, pinning, wings out all the big threat displays. I don't like the idea of teasing birds like that (although good tool to easily show the signs of anger for research/informative reasons) but if it's not purposefully done to get that response then all is well
