Could itching be from hormones?

My 13 year old female Ekkie Scarlett has been very hormonal off and on for months now. She laid 2 eggs a while back, first time in her life. We are her new owners and have only had her about 3 months. She's a wonderful bird and is generally sweet and loving. When she gets broody though her personality changes drastically which is understandable.
Lately she seems a little itchy. Not all the time but I see her scratching more than normal. Can this be from hormones? We use a humidifier and the temp in the house is usually 69 to 70 (comfortable). She takes frequent showers too.
She is on Harrison's Pellets and also has some fruit, veggies and seeds/nuts throughout the day.
When we got her she had been plucking because her previous owner passed away, Scarlett was depressed. Another question is I was wondering if there's anything that you can safely use to condition the feathers and possibly promote growth?

I don't know if hormones can trigger itchiness, but I wonder if Scarlett might not be going through a molt. That would certainly explain the itchiness. Do you see or feel any pin feathers? You'll probably see them more easily right after giving her a bath.

If so, she might need your help with preening them. (But I'll leave advice on how to do that to those on this forum who've actually done it, before. My boy seems to be just starting on his own molt as well.)

That could be it! I'm learning so much from having Scarlett. Had a Conure but a long time ago and then took care of a lost Cockatiel for a year until we found him a home. And Yes I do see pin feathers after she showers! Thanks for your reply, I appreciate the help.
