Hello! Does anyone have any suggestions and tips for covering large aviaries completely with blackout fabric? Some brands that maybe sell covers for large aviaries, or how you do it? I struggle to find cover for 2×2×1m aviary (something like 6,5×6,5×3,2 ft according to converter?). Last year I improvised with custom sewn fabric and added layers on top to be almost fully light-proof, but it fell apart at the end of summer and was extremely expensive to begin with, soooo I would like to find other alternative rather than have that again 😅

I make my own covers for cages, but it does not need to be 100% light proof material. I have 2 - one light weight for summer and 1 for winter thats heavier material. THink about it - the jungle is not 100% dark at night!

Do you have any tips on how to make them?😁 And I know it doesn't need to be, it's more about them not screaming at 4-5 am, so trying to keep it as dark as possible

Measure the front, top and back of the cage, width and length. Add 2" to each side for sewing and 4" front and back to the total length. Cut the fabirc for that as one piece. Measure the sides of the cage, adding 2" to the width for sewing and 4" to the length. Cut the fabric to that. Now sew all the pieces together, it's only 3 pieces. Much easier if you have a sewing machine! Better to make the fit a bit loose than too tight.
