Lilo - Female Green Cheek Conure ~ Pal - male cockatiel ~ Pheobe - female cockatiel
Ugh I just typed a hole long message but my stupid commuter erased it so I'll keep it small. Ok I have seen all the adorable trees and toys that you all make from items at goodwill and thrift stores. So I wondered do any of you know what I should make for my princess Lilo? I want to make one for her but she doesn't like plastic toys. So goodwill is out of the question. :( She only likes toys she can chew and destroy. Maybe thrift store? But what would I get? Thanks! I want to make a play stand out of pvc pipe and stuff. And is there any thing at goodwill that might work? Btw I LOVE all of your toys stuff you make for your fids! So creative and cute! :D

P.S. Lilo is a green cheek conure. Her favorite toy is her bell ball. It looks like a cat toy.

hi,Easy things to get for her to destroy are those Popsicle sticks and loofah.
Do check the kind of wood, your store might sell wooden beads again check the kind and unpainted.
Also i order a lot online in general,so i cut the boxes in pieces and make holes in them put some beads on and you got a toy.
Easy and always a hit.
You are going to making your own toys!i haven't bought a toy in months ever since.
And my first green cheek Kiva has never played with her toys since i got her ,now i see her play,it's so addicting.
Good luck!

i almost forgot ,wooden clothespin halves.
The wood is easy to dye and drill.
Because the wood is soft it is fun for them to destroy, one off the reasons why my gccs didn't destroy their wooden store bought toys is because i found out it is to hard for them.
I honesty thought they just didn't like wood ,until i made these toys for them.
I don't know about good will store's where you live but by my local one they don't sell pvp and i don't trust the wooden things there.
Hope to see something you made soon!

That's great! I will try that! Thanks! My craft store has lots of things like that! :)
