She wants to be in her cage 24/7?? What do I do???

Keep in mind that budgies (and other birds) go through stages of wanting to socialize and when they don't. My female budgie Joey has been standoff-ish lately herself and she's usually like velcro. Her health is great so its just a stage. She's been like this before and came out of it.

How is joey doing by the way? I think the last time I had heard about her was when she fell behind that filing cabinet a few months ago
Like hows the flock overall?

The flock of 20 is doing great. Joey has to be kept separated and lives in our bedroom because she's so oversexed. She tries to seduce all my male budgies if I let he socialize with them for even a short period. Despite keeping her segregated she's laid a few eggs in the past month. After the first of the year I'm going to get her an anti hormone implant that will prevent sexual behavior and egg laying so I can let her safely join the rest of the flock.

You sound like an awesome bird herder! Plus, you're here, asking for information :D.
I agree. Every human and bird have their own individual personality preferences, likes and dislikes. Asking for information helps develop a blend that everyone can live with.

I thought I had replied, I'm so sorry. Im sorry that you have to keep Joey seperated, I honestly (If I did have another budgie) would probably have an issue with that because like for example sometimes I will take pilot's cage outside so she can be out there, without the chance of getting hurt (we have a dog, and pilot is not harness trained) and she gets so happy getting to hear other birds even if its on my phone, or if there's a video with her chirping in it.
I hope then Implant helps, and its not good that shes been laying eggs. I guess Joey just wants a man, I don't know, but that sounds tough
