Curious River!

Tonight I was steam cleaning River's cage. I take the bottom grate into the bathroom to steam so the poos can just be rinsed down the drain. My hubby was playing with River in the living room while I cleaned (bathroom is located off the living room). They could hear the steam in the living room. When I walked back into the living room with the clean grate to start cleaning the rest of the cage, River looked at me and said "Whatcha doin?" (pretty clearly for his raspy self too!). I said I'm cleaning up your messy house!

Oh my gosh! Now I just walked into the bathroom with him on my shoulder and he saw himself in the mirror. I said who's that handsome boy? He said "River!". I'm such a proud mommy!

He's six months old. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old.

My Shrek used to say that, when I was working in the kitchen, and I would always answer him...

When I turned out the lights he'd say 'nighty night'... and when I picked up my keys, he'd say 'bye bye'...
