This morning my little guy Kiwi and I had a breakthrough. The past few mornings he has taken only a little bit of food from his syringe and gobbled down his breakfast (yesterday there was almost NOTHING left in his dish and I gave him a good bit).
So this morning after a few good morning squawks, Kiwi settled onto the perch right where I put his food dish as if to say.."well...where's breakfast mom?" So I just made him a nice mash and he started eating right away all on his own!
We'll see how he is when I get home today but I think we may have just moved to one syringe a day!:)

YAY!!!! :35:

I am very happy for you and Kiwi, keep up the good work.

Way to go Kiwi, thats great news it really is. When he's ready the handfeeding to stop he will let you know. :D Well done to you. That really is brilliant news.
