People do those same things concerning themselves, children & parents at the doctor, so, why wouldn't they do them with their pets??? Except the retractable leash, of course. Good points, Walt! (just joking )

Hey Bill, my mother had 10 foot leashes (chest harnesses) for both my brother & me when we were kids...my dad was career navy & you didn't have multi-child strollers...at least we didn't if they were available.....her retractability was winding them up on her hand.....

No long distance car travel, everything was by bus, train & once in a while via American Airlines.....

So, while you were joking, I did experience all that.....and.....with good leather, not plastic retractors with braided clothesline cord.....
