Sulfur Crested Cockatoo
I aquired a Sulfur Crested Cockatoo last night, she came with a large bag of what I would consider lower quality food and I'd like to hopefully get some suggestions from more experienced Cockatoo owners as to what type of mix they find to be the most nutricious. Any and all suggestions are very appreciated. Thank you.

I do not have a too bird but you cannot go wrong with Harrisons pellets.

I don't feed my SC TOO pellets, he has fresh fruits & vegetables. Sprouted seed mix, a tablespoon of good quality dry small parrot seed every second day, raw nuts (as treats) the odd chicken leg bone (cooked with a tiny bit of meat left on it) he loves passionfruit & has chilie or peppers daily. He will also tear apart a pine cone. There is so many healthy human foods that you can give your Too. I even buy baby rusks & biscuits for him as little treats.

I also let my bird on the grass as he loves to dig in the dirt & eat the roots. I guess he knows what he needs in the way of minerals.

Thanks Pedro...I feel a little overwhelmed in the nutrition department. Just want the best for her, she's so sweet...I've had her less than 24 hours and I'm already madly in love and she leads me to believe the feeling is mutual, lol :)

My 6 parrots all eat KTee Exact Rainbow Chunky Parrot for what it's worth. I think that they get bored with just the brown pellets and they like colors. Birds all love apples and corn, those baby carrots, banana, snow peas, green beans (fresh raw), melons, the junk food... pizza, corn bread, mac and cheese. No chocolate or avacado as they are both toxic to birds. No apple seeds as they are toxic too. Lean meat of fish or chicken. No greasy or fatty foods, no food with much salt as they do not get rid of it as easily as humans too much can make their brains swell (so I have read). A few nuts and seeds are ok but mine eat these too much. Lesley

My too loves the Zupreem all natural pellet diet. I just recently adopted him from a friend so I'm not sure what fruits/veggies he likes yet, but he LOVES fruit juice!! Especially apple juice. He'll even walk over and try to take it out of my hand :)
