just thought i would share a few photos :) i dont post tons here, but love reading all of the advice. anyway, hes having some dinner (chop mix) that ive whipped up. i think hes really adjusting well, and despite a couple days of temper tantrums, is really enjoying us as much as we are him.

now lets see if i can do this correctly...lol

nice pics of him

How do you clean up after him, feeding him in the open?

I love the messy way they eat! Well.... I love the way they look with food all over their face... But hate the cleanup. Its worth it though when they give you kisses or snuggles!

Adorable! I love the baby face. I also like your cage. I have two cages very similar to it and think the "landing door" is the best invention ever.

I'm happy to have wood floors, finally, in the bird room but we used to have carpet too. I had a LOT of plastic down under cages extending out a ways to catch the mess. Still there's no help for the walls. Ekkies are little food flingers!

What a cutie!! Thanks for sharing. I love the sanded manzanita perch. I have a similar one and Nalani loves it (plus it's appealing to the eye).

He's a clone of my little Peregrine! Right down to the shaggy tail feathers because he loves to stretch. So precious, thanks for sharing!

Hey Ad,

What a cutie, he is so adorable. I was just wondering what he is eating in that first picture. Ive been looking to get Loki into eating more varieties of food and just wanted some recipe ideas.

Id appreciate any recipe ideas that i could start cooking so he gets more cooked foods, at the moment he has fresh fruits in the morning and cooked veggies at dinner time and he loves them, but i thought what youve done looks great.

Thanks

x

Parrots don't *need* cooked foods. A strong diet of fresh fruit and veggies plus a bit of seeds will give them everything they need.
