I need some help. Look at this picture.

1. 12 weeks old.

2. Today. The beak seems dirty from porridge (I think) and dry too?
I Have try to clean it, (he don't like it at all) and the shower twice a week doesn't help enough so what to do?

That is actually pretty normal for a pionus :). Their beaks often have that dry look to them and they sort of look like they are peeling. Piper's beak looks similar to that. I really wouldn't worry too much about it.

Are you really sure about that?
I have never seen that before on my friends Maxi and he is seven years old.

i dont know anything about this or even this kind of bird. but i agree it looks dry/peeling. it might be normal for them. like i said i have no clue.

Put some coconut oil on a tissue and try to rub it onto his beak(If he cooperates lol), it will help with the dryness at least. I do it for Audrey's beak too.

I agree that it does seem typical for a Pionus. I have a small portable concrete perch that I keep around when my birds eat breakfast and dinner in the kitchen. Several times during each meal they jump up to the perch and scrub their beak to remove debris. Also, at the end of each meal I rinse my fingers off and gently wipe their beaks clean. A good abrasive perch always helps with this type of thing. Yes they are pampered but they are my children!

Thanks! :)
I have bought that yesterday so I will give it a try now. How often do you use it? I will give the oil in food too.
