Thanks!I agree that it does seem typical for a Pionus. I have a small portable concrete perch that I keep around when my birds eat breakfast and dinner in the kitchen. Several times during each meal they jump up to the perch and scrub their beak to remove debris. Also, at the end of each meal I rinse my fingers off and gently wipe their beaks clean. A good abrasive perch always helps with this type of thing. Yes they are pampered but they are my children!
