G'day Ollie13,
I'm sorry you feel disappointed. I saw your posts and refrained from answering because I have never had an Eccie and I've never had a baby bird. I can't help you! If you were asking about Alexandrines, Galahs or Lovies, I'd be full of advice for you. LOL!
Many of our members who do have Eccies live in the northern hemisphere and are sleeping soundly when you and I are online. There can often be a twelve to twenty-four hour lag before you can expect to see responses, depending on what you ask and who's awake at the time you ask it. Not only that, because we're a 'Parrot' forum, that includes all species of hookbills, not just Eccies. Other owners will post about other species and your posts will go down the list and perhaps drop off at the bottom. This happens in all forums. The only thing a person can do about that is find the thread and post again in it to bump it to the top of the list. (Please note: forum guidelines do not allow you to post the same thread twice - the traffic is heavy enough as it is!
As other members have advised, you can search the forums for particular topics and find older posts that will probably contain the info you need. Or, you can watch out for another member who has an Eclectus and seems knowledgeable and send him/her a PM to ask your questions. That's probably the most efficient and speedy way to get an answer.
To anyone who has felt disappointed as Ollie13 has, please remember this is not an office or library of resources: it's simply a group of enthusiasts from wildly different backgrounds with a wide variety of experiences and expertise. There will be times when nobody knows the answer to your question. Other times, a dozen people might chime in with suggestions. One thing I do know is that those who post a lot are the ones who get the most responses because they become known to other members. I'd ask you all to be patient and just keep posting: an answer will be forthcoming eventually. After you've posted 20 times, you can use PMs to contact members with more experience and ask your questions directly.
