Hello Everyone!

I just want to share the play perch that I made for my conure and CAG. All the branches are from a guava tree, the bottom is made of plywood with wheels underneath and it only took me about 30 minutes to assemble everything. They seem to really like it especially when they added new toys! It cost $0.00 to make (toys not included), I just used materials that I found around the house and the branches from a tree nearby. It was very satisfying and I'm now thinking of making more for my Indian Ringnecks and cockatiel. :-)

That looks good I have been thinking of doing something like this too.

We recently trimmed our birch tree so we have a lot of fresh new branches and I've been wondering about making a nice perch. Did you just scrub it down with some
dawn or vinegar and put it together with stainless steel nuts and bolts or screws? (not the most familiar with construction if you couldn't tell haha.) Sorry about the questions, I'm just curious to see if I could make my own little perch! This looks really neat and like a nice more "home-y" type of perch but I'm wanting to be sure it's safe for any future birds! This is a cool idea, thanks!

Its looks great, well done you :D

That looks great!
How did you attach the branch to the play wood? Did you put a screw in it from the bottom?

Great job! I've been wanting to build one of these but it seemed a little labor intensive & i'm not much of a tool girl. You said 30 minutes that seems manageable...it would be great if you gave us a step by step...i'm sure a lot of us would love it :)
