Do cockatiels moult their crest?

Hello! I was just wondering if it is common for a cockatiel to moult it’s crest feathers? Kiko is moulting atm and today I saw him shake off a crest feather.

Yep, Pipp also loses her. It looks so strange seeing her crest half the normal size!

Molting head feathers is an odd event with all Parrots as most seem to loss the feathers in a patch or group that as stated changes the appears of one's Parrot.

You should see how a blue jay molts it’s head feathers.
almost all at once.
the look like miniature vultures for a few weeks.
a few other wild North American birds do this.
I think the Cardinal does too.
