You all my have already known this but I didn't so I'm posting it.

Amazon is selling Polly's Dragonwood double ended perches. Sizes 12", 14", 16", 18", 20", 22:, 24", 28" and 30" for $4-$24 shipped via Amazon Prime.

Reviews vary but most seem to to indicate it is good for a medium parrot though I found one that said that the 30" one was between 1.5 and 2" in diameter. Also, since it's shipped with the bark on there may be some cleaning necessary.

It's Amazon Prime so it is risk free, I think I'm going to try one as the price is right.

What I don't know is what to use to clean it with to kill any mold....will F10 work for that?

Polly's Dragonwood perches

Is dragonwood the same as their hardwood? SassyByrd was getting funky sores on her feet so I ordered 5 types of perches of varying sizes two weeks ago. I ordered the XLrg Polly Hardwood and Sass LOVES it. She hasn’t started beavering it yet. It balances wonderfully and tightens quite securely.

Re: Dragon wood full length perches

I ordered a 24" piece of Polly's dragon wood and I am completely satisfied. I had to cut it down to ~22". It is about 1-3/8 in diameter.

If you need to cut this down, or any perch which a hanger bolt in it, the last pic is how you remove and reinsert the hanger bolt. Remove it by threading two nuts onto the bolt and grasp the lower one with the pliers or wrench and unscrew., drill a new hole, and then screw it in by installing the nuts the same way but this time grasp the end nut when you screw it in.

I didn't see anything on the perch that I didn't like but I scrubbed it with a brush and F10 detergent and let it sit for 20 min before I rinsed it off.
