I may be moving in with the GF soon so Enzo will have less out of cage time for a year to 18 months until we move back in to one of my houses. This is probably double the internal measurements of Enzo's existing cage, hopefully this suits purpose.

Im thinking I have both the new and existing cages in the same room for a while until she gets used to the new one, maybe slowly migrate her food and water to the new cage whilst she is out and about..... anything else I should consider Enzo moving home please?

Admittedly, my heart sank for a split second when reading your title LOL. I think Enzo will settle in wonderfully to his new home and cage! Judging by your consideration :D

Ah yes, never judge a thread exclusively by the title!! :D

I believe your plan to keep both cages to ease the transition is best. Some birds take to a new cage and never look back. But Enzo is a Grey, so all bets are off!

So did mine. Yikes.

Congratulations to Enzo, I hope she loves her new palace. :D

I remember with Smokey (TAG) I upgraded her dig's from a studio apartment to a nicw sized condo. I did exactly what you are doing with Enzo..placed both side by side.
I put one of her favorite toy's in and a couple toy's on the roof. The first couple days she wanted nothing to do with her new house, and would GROWL if I tried to put her on the roof.
Maybe 4 or 5 days later,I was in the kitchen fixin' brekky for her and Amy and I heard banging and slamming and "woo's". I poked my head around the corner,to see her happily banging her toys around. That night, she went inside to admire herself in her stainless steel mirror.
The next day she was a proud new tenant of a nice new abode. ;)
So..it may take time for Enzo, but she'll love ya for it!

The title of this thread is SO WRONG. But congrats to Enzo on the new digs.
