Falling off the perch

I noticed my parrot recently falling off his perch. He does manage to land on his feet from what I've seen. It happens during both day and night. It's not frequent but common enough to make me worry. I don't think it's ataxia because the only time I saw him hit his head was when he bumped into a glass window but it was a long time ago. I really don't know why this is happening or what I can do about it. I will try and find an avian vet if things take a turn for the worse. Untill then I really want to know more about what is going on.

Despite what we may think, parrots can and do loose thier balance occasionally, or their grip on a perch or other, clowns that they are. Unless this is happening with regularity i would not worry.
