Are FAVA beans raw safe for our parrots to eat ?

i think all beans need to be cooked to be safe?? and Fava arent safe i know that

Oh, I dunno... served with a nice chianti...?

well what if I dumbly fed them raw to my birds ? I shelled them out of the pods and gave each bird 4 beans with their mash. Should I be freaking out ? It was over 2 and a half hours ago and they both seem fine for now.

Betrisher^ Bwahaha! I was thinking "Hanibal Lector" as well.

Boysmom, hopefully someone will come along to help. Sorry, I don't know what you should do next.

There's no reason why faba beans couldn't be fed to birds although it's preferable they be cooked, not for safety but digesibility (and, perhaps, taste and texture:)).

well both girls are perfectly fine this morning and poops look normal, so it seems I dodged a bullet with this one. Next time I get the brainy idea to feed them something new, I will research it first !
