Nico is still beautiful although he has a feather plucking issue. I finally get to see a male Ekkie tail in person & up close, and not barbered. I didn’t even know Ekkie’s have red feathers under their wing. I finally got to see them too. There are some really pretty colors on Ekkie’s.

Yes, Nico is perfect no matter what he looks like I just get excited when I learn new things about him.

I’ve met Ekkie’s in person that are fully feathered but not up close. They didn’t especially want to step up or get near a stranger.

Nico IS beautiful! Not gonna lie, I've been smitten with him from the time you introduced him to us. Perfection doesn't lie in a flawless appearance, but in their whole being.

Charlie's chest feathers seem to have grown back, even temporarily. He seems to be a seasonal plucker... when he moults, his feathers are left alone. It's weird.

Sa;ty's plucked areas seem to be growing back their feathers, but will take time. He may turn out to be a seasonal plucker too.

Nico appreciates the support. He often gets asked why he doesn’t get euthanized based upon what he looks like. It’s hard to explain to people that he’s a perfectly healthy boy. Most people think he’s sick.
