:25_coolgu February POTM explores the physicality of reaching out between human and bird, bird and human, bird to bird. Original, manipulated images, or videos 90 seconds/less of touching or related contact are welcome. Inspiration for theme by telecommunications giant AT&T marketing campaign "Reach Out and Touch Someone." (some of you may vaguely recall the jingle from last century) :25_coolgu

Contest opens February 1, closes 25th. Polling runs February 26 through 28, winner announced March 1. Guidelines and pointers:
-The winner will receive premium membership for one year, image adorns the forum welcome page during March and April.
-You may post multiple photos or videos, but please designate the official entry or "just for fun" submission.
-Safety is paramount, always consider the welfare of your fids.
-Any questions, send me a PM for clarification!

Nice one, Scott! Perfectly ties together the connections of the Valentine's month and maybe doing so from a distance, thanks to covid, without specifically saying Valentine's day. Beautiful! And yup, guess I'm old. I absolutely remember the at&t jingle from last century, but being the auditory type, I suppose I should...

Hey that jingle is over 21 years old. We have members that would have never hear it... That would include mobile phones with battery carrying cases and shoulder straps and a phone connection base hardwired and physically mounted with screws in the car.

Not to get off topic here...buttttt..anyone remember Mickey Dee's "change back from your dollar"? a hamburgaler,small fry and small drink for 99 cents? Years ago when I used to eat that junk I said that to the young girl serving me and she looked at me as if I was from outer space.

What a poignant theme. For months we haven't been able to reach out and touch loved ones with the pandemic. With the gradual introduction of viable vaccines we can see at last a time when life will give us some normality again. I would normally reach out and touch Syd. Many days he is my only conversation, but this last week he nips more than touches. Hopefully by Valentines Day he will be back in loving mode again. I can only hope.

Cloudy and I have developed a game, I wiggle my fingers and he trys to catch them. Not bites, he just flicks his beak at fingers. Loves to play this way. So glad treatment didn't break our new trust!!
