I've tried all kinds of toys, baby rattles, toilet paper tubes, plastic bottle caps, big beads, blocks, etc... She wants nothing to do with any of them! If it isn't edible she just drops it.
Yesterday (seems like yesterday was full of 1st's for us) I was trying to wrap some packages. I say trying because she was "helping" by stealing the tape dispenser, chewing the ribbon, and making the edges of the paper "zonified" She just plain refused to stay on her play stand!!! Good thing Mom loves her, cause Mom's package has been "Zillafied"
I didn't want to lock her up, she was having so much fun, but I was getting frustrated! I kept giving her things that were safe for her to chew and play with, but nothing worked! Then I reached into the basket I keep her toy parts in and came out with the first thing my fingers touched. One of those sneaker toys from MSBS! I looked at it and thought "she isn't going to like this, but OK" and handed it to her. She played for well over 20 minutes with it...I was in shock!
Then a new game ensued! She dropped it off the side of the table and Simon ran over to check it out, She made her "I don't like that" noise at him, then I would pick it up and give it back, then she would play with it for about 30 seconds run to the edge of the table and drop it off the table and Simon would come back to check it out...you see where this is going right?
