First time Cockatiel owner

Hi, I really like birds and am hoping to be an ornithologist later in life. So I got a cockatiel after doing the appropriate research to determine what bird is right for me and my limited expirence. His name is Eric and if you have any advice on owning cockatiels feel free to give it.

Eric is 2 months old now. I wonder why Eric is bobbing his head so much.

Welcome! Cockatiels are great birds! They are sweet, whistle beautifully and easy to be with in general (I know there are exceptions sometimes but mine were great). They need regular baths because they are dusty birds. Enjoy!
