So I fried up some flounder for my parrots in red palm oil this morning. My conures are staring at it as if it were going to jump out, and get them. My macaw looked at it, and decided chewing up some perches is more appealing. My Ekkie ate the entire thing within minutes!!! It’s so interesting to me how these parrots eat so differently. Here’s a photo of Nico with a flounder beak 🥰 No they don’t get this type of “treat” often. Just once in a great while.

Your Ekkie looks like he's enjoying every bite! I've never thought about serving fish.

I don’t give my parrots seafood often. Maybe once every few months. Nico (Ekkie) is the only one who ever eats it. He eats the tail of shrimp first. No idea why. He really enjoys seafood.
