Awe, what a sweetie he is! I love the smaller Cockatoos, the Bare-Eyeds, the Galahs, and the Goffins...He looks like a real darling bird...
That's a great idea for something to make a collar out of...How does he usually handle wearing a collar? Besides this one being too long and needing trimmed-up, was he tolerating it? I just love these guys, and I admire you for giving him a loving home and providing him with what he needs to hopefully get better and be happy and healthy...I had a run-in with someone on Craigslist, who was pretty local to me (about an hour and a half away from me ) who was advertising his Goffin needing to be re-homed "ASAP", as he said he rescued him a year or so prior and he was not a plucker when he first brought him home, but now he is completely bare on his entire chest, vent, and legs, and he didn't have the time or money to "deal with it". So I emailed him asking for some more information about the poor guy, temperament, diet, daily schedule, any blood-testing done or other health information, etc. And all he did was email me back with the sentence "The re-homing fee is $1,200 without his cage and toys, and $1,400 with his cage and toys. Do you want to come get him or not?"...So I really admire and appreciate you for taking such good care of him...
