I'm loving all these stories!!!
I feel as though people who get scared simply do not understand bird body language. The way I explain birds to non-bird people is....they're a lot like horses. They spook easy, don't like sudden movements or sounds (one loud sneeze from hubby and my two cockatiels go flying) and they can also tell when you're afraid! They read your body language too and act accordingly. So of course, if you come up to them all nervous and scared that they'll bite, they may be more inclined to bite. But if you go up to them somewhat slow, but confidently, with your intentions clear, then they can also pick up on that
