from country where ppl love birds but not as pet

I never thought that one day I have feather friend. As my home my mom don't like pets. I want to adopt a cat but she allowed me for bird. Then I started with cockatiels pair. But it was not tamed and even I don't know how to handle them. But some how I passed a year with them and they both like me but never like to cuddle or touch or step up. Then I found that I want a bird who like to cuddle and here is the answer "Twitter"

I walk my blue crown with me (on my evening 'dog walks') and there are quite a few people who are from India in my town. I always notice that they in particular seem to like Gilbert! He is a conversation starter ("where I come from there are parrots outside." "where do you keep him in the winter?" etc) :)

Yes at India there are few good breeders who breed exotic bird. As most of the people fear of bites from parrot and getting good breed is difficult here. I have found few ppl from net around my area who breed for sale but as a companion I have never seen. I have seen parrot in small round cages as decorative items. Mostly Indian Ring Neck. But not here government is strict to keep local species. So people are keeping love bird, budgis but as a flock or as pair.
I got Twitter from a hobbyist breeders who usually breed AFG. But luckily I got Twitter while he was 2 and half month old and just started weaning.

Twitter is such a little doll! Beautiful Jenday. Sounds like he was meant to be with you. You say the Indian government is strict on keeping local species, yet I hear of many who keep the IRN...:52:

Twitter looks very happy and well-cared for, thank you for sharing

Yes government has law for local species but breeders or illegal traders sales IRN mutation. As natural colour is green for IRN.

I was under the impression that many people in India do have the green ones.

Yes so many as NGO or Government can't track individual. But they raid most of the time on illegal traders and if found Alexandria Parrot then [emoji61] [emoji61]

Here in my city very big vet clinic but special avian vet not available. Most of the accessories I bought online. As southern part of India has so many bird lovers.
