GCC bonding?

How do you know if you have a bond with a bird or if the bird "picks you"? I was at petsmart yesterday and they had a VERY nippy greencheeck so I hung out there for a little bit and everytime he tried to bite i would just close his beak and after about 10 mins i was scratching the top of his head. I went in today for an interview and i was waiting for the manager and i went to visit him again and he jumped right up to the perch closed to me and I put up my finger and he tried to nip but i again closed his beak and then all of a sudden i was giving him scratches all over and he didn't seem to mind at all! his head was al upside down and i was scratching his chin and stuff! lol All the empoyee's where gathered around me in amazment? lol i guess he hates everyone??

what do you mean "close his beak"?

He would try to bite and i would just put my finger on the top of his beak and simply close it lol not al crazy just a simple movement. Does that make sense?

perfect sense and he learned; he hasn't bonded to you but he understood that no biting means you stay longer and he gets scratches (I've had relationships that started with less)

If you are really asking, would this GCC likely make a good pet for you... sounds like you have the right tools!

Ya i just didn't know how to say what i meant like would we be a good match i guess? haha but if i get the job there im gonna use my employee discount to get him! his price is already marked down if i remember correctly, how weird i never considered a greencheeck i always wanted a sun but now it doesn't matter i would't mind either one of them i love em all! lol
