I'll try to get a couple good shots of Amy tonight.
I know I've mentioned this before..but anywho here it is again.
When I first got Smokey, obviously she was an only bird, and I had in the back of my mind getting another. "Amazon's" in my mind were just "green" big birds.
At the time I was working for a friend, driving one of his Big Rigs and one Friday afternoon I went to his house to get paid..thats when I got introduced to Apollo..Frank's Blue Front. It was the first time I ever had an up front,in your face look at any Amazon.
Apollo was on his playtop and Frank was giving him peanut treats,as I stood back a foot or two. It was the first time I really gave a good look at a big "green" parrot lol.
Of course the first thing that hit me were those EYES

Holy crap were they bright! (and flashing/pinning lol)
Every color on Apollo's face just jumped out at me,the bright yellow (Apollo's mom had just given him a shower) the blue..both those EYES holy moly lol.
But then when Apollo took flight ( Frank and Terry's livingroom was large, with high vaulted ceiling) the colors of his arms (Apollo's,NOT Franks

) and rudder were just..Amazing!
When I got home,I took out my latest edition of Bird Talk and went to the back, looking for a local breeder..and well..the rest is history

That day,Amazon's were no longer just "big green birds"
Thanks Apollo...and Frank..for introducing me to becoming a future Amazon Snob.
Like this great man I know that always says "Amazon's Rule" and "Amazon's have more fun!"
