Here is a link to a very similar cage that they have at the pet store. I went and looked at it today. He has them normally marked at $288 but it comes un-assembled for $199 and a 20% discount, free toy, and a certificate for 1/2 off one of his home made play gyms. I think I'm going to go get it after work, if you all think its as fantastic as I do. The one He has is a little bigger Its 40"x31"x 65" and has 2 breeder doors (not like I need them), and the bar spacing of the one at the pet store is only 1/4 inch. He will have sooooooo much room to play! The 'keets are going to love having his old cage because its about 3x bigger than what they have now. So excited!
What do you think.
32"x21" Flight Cage & Stand in Stainless Steel - Stainless Steel Cages by A&E Cage Company

I had a Sun Conure in that cage and when she bit 2 bars together they would bend. I was fostering her and the people who gave her a home did get a cage with bigger bars. I do have that cage and it's good for the Green Cheeks but not strong enough for the bigger Conures.

I think the one at the pet store had bigger bars than the one in the pic. I tested them and I could not bend them at all! He bends the bars on the cage he is in now, but its not steel.

I've never tried a flight cage with a conure. Usually people use them for budgies and cockatiels and similar. But, yes, maybe stainless steel is stronger. I guess you will have to use your judgment.

sigh....I should have taken a picture of the exact cage at the pet store....the pet store guy cant take a picture of it for me, but he did correct me, its not stainless steel its wrought iron. oops

I broke down and bought the cage, but completley forgot to take a picture this morning. Clifford loves it! He has plenty of room, and he loves all of his new toys and perches. We found out that his water bowl is big enough to bathe in, and he even tried to give me a bath. He climbs all over the sides, and all over the outside, the whole time telling the cage that its a 'pretty bird'. He even let me reach into the cage to give him head scratches. That's a first since he's been home. :-) Each time we walk by him he gives us kisses and he has stopped launching himself at the side of the cage when the dogs walk by. The behaviorial difference is incredible! I'm happy that I have a happy birdie. :-)

That's wonderful he loves his new cage so much! And now you won't have to worry about his bathing. He will do it himself.

haha! In his water bowl!!?? lol

I wish Mystic and Gypsy would bathe. They hate the spray and won't go near the bath dish in the bottom. Actually they won't go anywhere except that top perch. Its good he loves his cage. Its a nice treat when you put so much thought into something and they love it. I hope M&G eventually start exploring.

Rowdy bathes in her water bowl every day. Sometimes twice a day. She doesn't really make much of a mess throwing the water so I don't mind. Plus she's a pellet dunker so I have to change it a few times a day no matter what.

Pellet dunker??? is that why Clifford's water bowl was full of pellets yesterday? It all makes sense now....

Rowdy likes to take one pellet at a time over to the water bowl and dunk it before eating it to moisten it. But, sometimes birds throw them in to watch them expand or to change the color of the water as well, for fun. She used to do that a lot when she was younger. Now it's mainly just little crumbs I find in it.

The only ones that were in the water bowl were the yellow banana shaped ones. but the water was like a purpleish color. (maybe he doesn't like the banana ones, thats ok I'm allergic to bananas) He must know and not want me to touch them! hehe

Rowdy tends to eat the yellow ones last. Though on some days it's mostly green left in her dish. I guess she has different moods.
