This is SO awesome, Allee! Thank you for posting this! I signed up! :D

Since I have a rather elaborate bird feeding station in my garden, I'll be participating right here from home. :D

I could do that... but I'm not sure I could count fast enough. Had a flock of goldfinches come in the other day....must have been well over 30! They completely covered the hanger and both feeders.

i signed up! i love this! ive been interested in bird identification since i was a small child and my grandfather taught me what all the local birds are. i inherited his bird book when he passed and i love feeding wild birds in my yard! this sounds like great fun! in his book he has a list and he would start a new one each spring, listing each type of bird he saw throughout the summer and into fall. i still have the last list he made, it looks like he saw 33 different birds the last year he used that book :)

thank you for sharing this link! :)

Just a reminder, today's the last day to submit entries for the bird count. It's super easy. :)

Oh crap I forgot.

Ice yesterday morning. Rain in the 60's this morning. I think Mother nature is drinking .

Christine, I wouldn't worry about it too much, it doesn't sound like you would have had many birds to count. Crazy weather.

Very good LMAO. Yes very worthwhile to do this.

We have one here at the end of January conducted by RSPB but unfortunately my grey matter didnt come together at the right time this year. :-(

They just had this at the Queens Botanical garden here in NYC, among other places..but it was freezing (like literally 0° at one point)...I feel bad for the birds who were out in that, let alone the people looking for them!
