I found some fresh green almonds in the supermarket today. I was wondering if they are OK for my African Grey.

I wouldn't chance it! Are you talking about almonds that still have the husk over the shell. Never know, could be a mistake.

I just looked on Avian Web and they list the almond plant as toxic. If these are "young" undeveloped almonds, they are still more plant than nut! I wouldn't!
