I agree with just about everything that has been said, which just goes to show how complicated parrot ownership can be... many legit sides to any question.
I do like the idea of a cockatiel. They're so many more generations into domestication and genetic suitability for first-timers. It's hard to beat a cockatiel, or budgie, for that matter. I know many here (who have big birds, and who are sophisticated parronts) who have fallen head-over-heels in love with a 'tiel! Can I get an AMEN, Jim (AmyMyBluefront)?????
