Welcome and be welcomed. Just a comment on the outdoor aviaries your hubby made. If the wire mesh being used is the commonly available zinc coated ( also known as galvanized or hot dip galvanized) metal mesh, zinc is considered a heavy metal and if ingested by using beaks to climb around on the mesh, it can lead to heavy metal poisoning. Commercially made outdoor aviaries use either a stainless steel or aluminum mesh, neither is cheap, but are 100% non-toxic to parrots and birds. Parrots spend a good deal of time clambering around inside the walls of aviaries and can chip off or otherwise ingest tiny particles of the zinc coating.
Just a FYI !!

Hi thank you, yes they were hot dipped even though it was advertised as safe for parrots. my hubby changed the indoor aviary wire for stainless steel, a lot more expensive, but they must be safe. Thank you for letting me know, i was warned before and that was why we changed it. I wish they would not advertise the wire as safe for parrots, as i am sure many other people have bought the wire thinking it’s safe.
