This may be a dumb question but Mango is starting to act more adult like and even is starting to be more vocal. He is also being more acrobatic.

Do parrots grow up or mature as they get older?

I can't speak for anything other then cockatiels. My boy got less startled by new things and people, and was keen on learning new phrases (he loved talking and singing). When he was younger he would squeal more, but as he got older he found ways we could understand each other, so squealing was less.
Just like kids really... They cried less and asked more
