Are the hand held steam cleaners enough to fully sanitize my cage? I have decided that there really is not a good way to clean this monster.l I'v cleaned everything I can so far Toys, perches, play stand, metal apron, bottom drawers, all thats left is the toy she sleeps on and the main bulk of the cage. I didnt know if I would need a larger steam cleaner to really actualy sanitize the cage or if I take my time will a hand held to the trick? I know a few of you guys use em on here.

I bet it would help, but I've never used anything more than dish detergent/water, vinegar, and I THINK everything is clean enough.

Thats what I've been using on everything i can fit into the tub or kitchen sink. The cage though is about 6 feet high and is a monster. I have no idea how I would be able to rinse it well enough to feel safe for Timneh to return to it. So I figured I would just steam it and wipe it down. Wasn't sure if this actually makes a sanitary clean cage.

Local Bed Bath and Beyond did not have a steam cleaner Bummer. So I have to wait till Monday to get my new toy from Amazon.

I don't know of very many handheld steamers with enough oomph to get the job done on a large cage. I have a McCulloch steam cleaner that lasts a solid 20 minutes with a full tank, and I can get both of my cages done. I do always have to add more to steam clean the stands and the like, though. The nice thing is the amount of legitimately HOT steam it produces. Some of those handhelds really don't make great, hot, sanitizing steam.
