I just finished making my cockatiels a hanging play area! I used plastic chain clips, sisal rope, a sea grass mat, some toys, and ceiling hooks! They have already been playing on it which was a surprise because normally it takes a while for them to warm up to new things! If anyone has hanging areas for their birds Id love to see them! I’m thinking of adding more things to my ceiling for them!View attachment 37313View attachment 37314

awesome!!! Hang a rope or something down to the cage and he will learn to climb up .

Brave guy already gives it a go!
I’m trying to find a long enough boing for them to climb up from the cage! Both of them have been flying to it though which is amazing because i didn’t think they would!

I hope you will also add to my thread ❤!!

I would love to!

Hanging play areas are great and yours look good! We too use the heavy plastic chain, available at most DIY box stores. Ours runs clear across the room, 9 feet or so, with a rope and wood ladder leading to the top of Salty's cage. We use the chain to hang the vast majority of his toys, and even have his daytime wet food feeding station on it. He has become quite the acrobat in running the length of that chain!

Thank you! That’s a great idea! My birds have been climbing on the chains I hung above the Seagrass mat to hang toys on!

I’ve seen that chain and other stuff that would work well at ace hardware.
