I made this hanging playgym for my 2 birds from a branch that came down in a storm we had a while ago. It's smooth barked apple, which is a type of gum that, for some reason, smells like fresh apple.
It's 2 branches wired together at key points, eyelet screws at 3 points, and plastic chains connecting it to the ceiling. It wobbles and sways, but doesn't tip.
Having it hanging rather than on a base means I can hang toys above the branches easily, and I can put small branches with leaves into the links of the chain. My birds love pulling leaves off.
It's connected to the cage top with a rope perch, though they can jump from the gym to the cage without it.
And this is Flash making use of it.
