I also remember the way people seemed to change from that day, even if it was only for a short time. People respected one another with out prejudice

Wish I could say the same about here. But unfortunately, Michigan has the highest population of Arabs & Muslims outside of the Middle East, and they are mostly living in one city, Dearborn. There was a lot of cheering, etc. whenever 9/11 happened. Of course that's not to say that all people from the Middle East or Muslims think that way. There was a lot of racism going on and that. Actually, one of my Pakistani friends and I went out to eat about a week after it happened, and somebody in the restaurant came over and yelled at him for what 'his people' did to us. WTF?! Ignorant Ignorant people.

yeah I hate that some people act like that. They need a outlet for thier anger. We also had some cheering on 9/11 makes me sick... dont live hear if you dont like us. we even had one of the "out posts" in our town or something like that. They got shut down and arrested

Let me say I'm from Texas - so you should know there won't be much apologizing, but maybe we could better understand each other through a few PMS. I know our governments decisions haven't been perfect... but well just PM me if you wanna debate

Think thats the best way, don't think anyone agrees with other people's opinions and this is somewhere where we have fun, and yeah we are talking about things here, but its something that we all feel terrible about.

Yepp.. Well most people i know HATE the USA for various reasons which i wont mention. Alot of my family lives in the US so i cant say i really hate them. I was in grade 4 when it happened... i didn't even find out what it was until like a day later. I personally dont agree with canadian people fighting iraq, the USA got them selves into it, they should get themselves out of it by there self. not other countries helping them out. I also personally think that they should have pulled out along time ago. Thats just my brief thaughts on this.

well we don't think too kindly of canadians since y'all booed our national anthem at that hockey game. But since you love parrots you are allright I say we all expressed gratitude for all our soldiers from all our countries which is why this thread was started so before anyone says anything they will regret I'm going to request this thread closed as world affairs are such a touchy subject.
