1 Sun Conure
Hello.

Does anyone know of a good quality harness for a sun conure that’s easy to set up? Also the size correct size? My sun conure is almost 2 years old.

Thankyou

Aviator. I have used them almost since company began. It's alI one piece. There are sizes listed for your bird. It looks complicated. Just follow the video. Your bird will need to be used to having wings handled. Take your time. Aviator is for flight. I don't do that. I'm paranoid
Nameliss wearing hers. I have a small dog retractable leash I wear hook around my wrist when going for walks. There's days she wears it no problems. There days she actst for decades. Tlike like it's a torture device. They last for decades.

Thanks for that. The purpose why I was considering one Is that I want it so I can take her out to get her Vitamin D from direct sun each day for 30 minutes without her flying away as she hates being in a cage outside as she flys freely inside the house. She normally just sits on my shoulder outside but I seen some strange wild birds around and noticed she got a little anxious so I’ll just play it safe

Nameliss loves to go outside. When weather is nice we go for walks. She kinda demands to go out. Even if it's just to the mailbox. I take het out randomly so trips to vet aren't traumatic. (She doesn't know where she is going)

I’ll definitely need to take this new idea slow and practice. But I spoke to a mate of mine whose put me onto a bloke who trains birds to wear harnesses. So I might look into that

the biggest obsticle will be getting your parrot OK with the handling needed to put any harness on. it took me almost a year of working with my amazon to get him OK with putting it on. NEVER take your parrot outside unless in a cage or a harness. Too many sad stories of birds , who supposed were clipped and never fly, taking off when they get scared.
