Hi everyone
I have been looking after my Sisters Amazon Charlie while she has been in Australia on holiday. She is back now but we are getting very attached to him. She is thinking of moving there perminently so we have agreed that he will stay with us a bit longer with a view to us keeping him.
We have been reading everything we can about him (his species) and are keen to give him the best quality of life possible.
We are avid animal lovers, have 6 buns living in pairs in their own gardens.
We also have a dog,Zac, a 4 year old lab and a cat who has already accepted that Charlie is part of the family and not lunch.
Charlie lives on a perch not in a cage and is very chatty and seems happy enough but I want more for him. We want to build him an adventure playground where he can have lots of fun so if anyone can give us any ideas that would be great.
I would also like to know what you guys feed your parrots and how, Charlie has been used to his food in a bowl in front of his perch but we have been putting it more and more on his perch tray so he has to forrage more for it.
Thanks for reading
Angela
