Hi, everybody my name is Jessie. I am a Veterinary Technician here in the big ol mississippi. I am proudly owned by 6 parrots.

Isoke: 4 yr old CAG

Eggie: 1 yr old Red-Sided Eclectus

Sunshine: 10 yr old potty mouthed quaker (didn't learn it from me. But his previous owner was very potty mouthed as well.)

Kili: 3 month old Indian Ringneck

Max: 8 month old GCC

Cricket: 8 month old Yellow-Sided GCC

I enjoy hanging out with my Fids and my human family as well as my horses Hollywood and Dakota, and with my dogs, Shep, Minnie, Sugar Baby , and Loco. I am really loving it here at parrotforums.com so far everyone is so helpful . Since graduating as a vet tech I have taken numerous CE courses in Avian medicine and behaviour to expand my knowledge of our fine feathered friends. I look forward to hearing from all of you .

Hello & welcome Jessie. What took ya so long! :) Nice to have you and your farm with us.

Thanks Tracy, I see you own green cheeks as well aren't they just the most comical lil parrots lol too funny .

Welcome Jessie! Nice to have you here. :) Wow, six parrots! Is it difficult to have that many parrots?

Thanks again everyone. And Nayara, it can be extremelly trying sometimes to keep up with six parrots. I love them all though. Sometimes I wish I had never started with parrots but that only lasts a little while. A couple of my parrots are whats left of my birds when I was a breeder, for example my Quaker. I stopped breeding for one simple fact . That is I never knew what kind of home my baby was going to. I had one lady that purchased a sun conure from me about two years ago who got tired of normal sun conure screaming and she decided it was best to beat him with rolled up newspaper. I drove 6 hours to pick up what used to be a wonderful , sweet lil guy who now was just huddled in the corner of his nasty rusted out cage. He now is living out his life with my mom and has basically become her child. I'm glad his story ended well though im sure he will never get over alot of the psychological damage that this lady caused him.
