I'm Amy and I am the proud owner of a white capped pionus named Calvin (who is a girl) and Bohdi, a female (we think) severe macaw whom I rescued recently. We are still getting to know each other, but I love her dearly.

I came to this site because I have questions about several things, and plan to peruse the forums. One thing I just had answered was why Bohdi likes to tongue my ear and neck. It's a bit ticklish when she gets her beak in my ear and starts "snuffling" about. But it is definitely endearing. I am, however, waiting for the big chomp!

Glad to be here and to pick everyone's brain about my birds.

Personally, I wouldn't set myself up for an ear chomp.
Such closeness shoulder, neck, ears, face are to be earned. Even a trusted companion could get spooked and take a chunk out of your ear or face.
