Hopefully I am not intruding?
My name is Mariska, and I am from, well, the Netherlands!
I am 22, and I live together with my mom, dad, sister, and the animal kids! A poodle, a cat and of course, the birds.
I have 3 birds to myself: 2 Senegals, and 1 Meyers. I had a Jardine also, but unfortunately a week a go , she had a stroke, and she passed away.

Now I am wondering what kind of bird to get next. A Galah is my ultimate dream! But I can't seem to find the cage size for a Galah.
Or should it be a Jardine again? I don't know. But hopefully I can add something to this forum, and some of my questions can be answered.

But what I am doing besides being a animal mom? I am studying to become a licensed child care provider.
And, yeah, I have to go back to the birds. I am doing volunteer work with one of my senegals, Sjors, who is 6, in a psychiatric hospital. Hopefully the Meyer, Guus, who is 8 weeks, wil follow soon in Sjors his footsteps.

Damn, now I feel guilty to my other Senegal, that I didn't tell something about her.
The other one, Sjimmie, is a rescue. She was abused. But now she thinks I am her partner, and she attacks everyone who is in the same room with me.
Thank God, I don't have a boyfriend yet. She is trouble I tell you!

Well, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I am sort of a open book

Thank you all for reading!

Hi Mariska, and welcome to the forums. :)

Intruding? NEVER! :D So glad you joined!!

Welcome Mariska! Happy you joined us! Thanks for the lovely introduction and cute photos of your birds.

So sorry for the recent loss of your Jardine.

Thank you all!
Because I feel like the Jardine is still part of my flock, a picture of Noah. She was a special needs bird, you can see that if you look at her beak. She wasn't tame, but so sweet for every bird!

Welcome Mariska, I love the Poicephalus parrots also, I have 2 myself :). I'm so sorry to hear about your Jardine's.
