Hello from the south!

Hello everyone!
My boyfriend and I became first time bird owners in August of this year when we bought Hobgoblin (aka Hobs) a green cheeked conure born in March 2021. We are loving learning all about our clever little guy, and doing our best not to bumble along too much in the process. Hobs enjoys any treat that isn’t wet, hanging upside down from anything available, testing our food to make sure it’s safe, supervising cooking, learning tricks (especially spin), helping Dad with his computer, long neck and head scratching sessions, and occasionally living up to the name Hobgoblin a little too well.
We can’t wait to learn from all of you and see all your beautiful photos!

GREEN CHEEK CONURES , are amazing, they are packed with personality, boldness, and love. Use those beaks to keep you on the straight and narrow. My Ta-dah looks a lot like your Hobs. Mine didn't start speaking ( she never needed or was expected to) until 5 years old or so and now has the biggest vocabulary of my flock.

I love that photo! He was running around like a mad man when he suddenly climbed in there and crashed backwards. Like “Mom I wore myself out!”. Makes me laugh every time.
My boyfriend was very excited to read that he might talk. Hobs chitter chatters in his little grumbling gravely voice but no discernible words yet.
