Help! Conures nose swelling?

Hello I had came home from work today to find that my conure has a irritation on one of his nostrils and possibly a cut. It looks swollen and I want to know what that is and if I should take him to a vet. He is 5-6 months old.

Beautiful birdy you have there. His nostril looks like it has a cut, may be worth contacting your avian/exotic vet.

Oh poor lil guy! I would check around his cage and play areas for something with a sharp or pointy end on it, like a cage bar that is coming loose. Feel around with your finger. With an open cut like that you want to make sure its kept clean so he doesn't develop an infection.
