Hero dogs of 9/11

I watched this on Animal Planet last night and hugged my pups extra tight. I love trained working dogs and everything they do for us. Just giving a little shout out of appreciation to our animal friends and all they do to make our lives better.

I wanted to watch that, but, I just couldn't. In a local park near my home, there is a monument to Police Dogs that have been killed in the line of duty. It is a large bronze German Shepherd with a plaque with the names of all the dogs. I always stop and pet his head, and thank them all for their sacrifice.
