He's a BABY! (Just found his hatchdate)

So when we got him in August, we were told he was 15mo. All this time, I had been working from that premise. But we went to a local ekkie meetup where a breeder offered to find Cairo's breeder and get details on his history. We just heard back, and he was born the end of November 2017!!

That means, when we met him, he was only 6mo, and when we got him, he was under 9mo!

It makes so much sense now - his behaviors. His current molting IS his big 1yo molt. His needy food behavior is likely because he was force-weaned. I'm not surprised now that he's requesting formula. And it makes so much sense - I had thought he was just developmentally delayed, with his beak and eyes, but he's right on point.

But wow! He was free flying at such a young age. He's so young. And I can't believe we missed his first birthday!!! My partner wants to throw a belated party when we move but it's actually quite sweet - he's one day younger than our best friends' kid.
