He's talking!!

We got our YNA Bandit about three and half weeks ago and he is 5 months old. I cannot believe how much he is talking! He repeats everything. We were just now watching a show and someone said "We got water in the engine". Without skipping a beat Bandit said "We got water in the engine". Like I said he repeats everything except for his name. Not quite sure why he doesn't say that. We uncover him in the morning and he says hello. When we come home he says hello and what are you doing. It amazes me how well he talks. I think he is a happy boy!

Thanks! We were watching a show about off roading. We have an off road rig so maybe we will have to take him with us when go. He can keep us in check.

Its funny he will talk a little in his cage and maybe a little when you hold him. His play tree is where he does almost all his talking. Hopefully he will get our Quaker Otis into talking better.

Those first words are always the cutest

I bet he is saying a lot more, when you are not in the room, leave a recorder on, you will be amazed. Play back the recording at times, and you will notice how much his vocabulary has grown.
They listen to everything we say, absorb and remember.
Talk to your bird the same as you would to a human, eventually you will be having conversations with him.

Thats brilliant! we should be getting our baby home in the next 2/3 weeks, and i really hope he talks! the person that is hand raring him for us says he does seem to me a very smart bird. he is in the enxt room to the kitchen, and when they are boiling the kettle for his feeds, he has caught on to this, and begins jumping up and down and sqauking and starts flying towards the noise. hopefully thats a good sign! your zon sounds great!
