I'm new to this site although I have already asked some questions. I have one green cheek conure and am looking for a pal of a different species for him, which reminds me... I've seen a ton of people on here talking about different breeds of parrots, and as a biologist, that is sort of offputting. They're different species. Not like poodles and great Danes, they are like poodles and siamese cats... I don't want to be a jerk but I had to get that out! Anyway, there's lots of good info and I'm glad to have found this community.

now i never knew that?? i assumed that they just breeds, that never cross breed! :20:

Your right though! They're not like breeds that you can cross breed. But breeds would be considered within a specific specie. Since you can cross breed between conures or cross breed between macaws.
